Banomoya hitmaker Busiswa loses over 500 songs, after studio equipment stolen

The multi-talented musician Busiswa has announced that she had lost over 500 unreleased songs during a burglary at her home studio, on Monday.

In what could have been a near decade of work was wasted when the queen of Gqom became the latest artists and victim of thefts and common crimes.

The singer is said to have lost studio equipment which worth thousands of rands such as computers, portable speaker, and monitors.

“The greatest regret is the loss of over 500 songs and visual content on the computer tower and personal computer (MAC PC),” Busiswa wrote on Twitter.

The Banomoya singer said she was offering a reward of R40 000 for a “safe return” of items, should anyone have information to come forward.

“I’m offering a reward of R40 000 for safe return of items, or information leading,’ Busiswa tweeted.

In addition, the Bazoyenza hitmaker said what she lost is an amount of work that has been in the pipeline for almost a decade.

“Close to a decade of work that is essential to my career and my children’s legacy,” she said.

Iziko learnt that Busiswa is no stranger to entertainment industry, as she has released most loved songs over the years ranging from Ngoku to Midnight Starring to SBWL, which all these songs have more than a million views on YouTube.

Under her belt, she has three studio albums and on top of that she has bagged two awards namely Most Gifted Dance Video (for Ngoku) and Best Kwaito Album (for Highly Flavoured).
